I'm Having A Day

Today after class
a woman came to me
touched my shoulder
complimented my effort
and my appearance

I muttered a thanks
Rushed down the stairs
Biting my lip holding back the tears
Standing outside my car now numb
Looking at my reflection from it
Picturing what it would look like if I 

slashed my thighs
so deep the blade
sink into the flesh
blood all over my
fingers and the tiles

and most importantly
should I do it horizontally or vertically
