A night to remember
On wings
born
we are
and die.
Aimlessly, through a deepening twilight,
through the chill.
We drift by, past trees
listening, watching,
talking softly.
We walk
as the nigth
yawns and breaths the light
inwards into its maw.
This is impossible.
Hands nervous, hearts trembling,
awry by this moment, touch-wary
though clasped-handed
we are in thoughts. Here,
barely sighing, wings fall-
Taking their tumbles and turnings
and aches to unriddle the unknown
the little pilgrims find a conclusion
Intricacy dances on wings
in this bat-hungry alley, full of awe
For the night, the night coming.
Dreams, -clipped-, barely twinkling
Now, like then, a night to remember
Years between make the difference
to the way
Things are torn
born
we are
and die.
Aimlessly, through a deepening twilight,
through the chill.
We drift by, past trees
listening, watching,
talking softly.
We walk
as the nigth
yawns and breaths the light
inwards into its maw.
This is impossible.
Hands nervous, hearts trembling,
awry by this moment, touch-wary
though clasped-handed
we are in thoughts. Here,
barely sighing, wings fall-
Taking their tumbles and turnings
and aches to unriddle the unknown
the little pilgrims find a conclusion
Intricacy dances on wings
in this bat-hungry alley, full of awe
For the night, the night coming.
Dreams, -clipped-, barely twinkling
Now, like then, a night to remember
Years between make the difference
to the way
Things are torn
