Fear X Affection

For no apparent reason
I fall silent beneath this
  emotion
So powerful
  but subtle to anyone outside
  the blood
     rushing to my head
       Hands starting to tremble

Is it out of fear
  out of insecurity
Is it because I
  lack the dexterity
     to comprehend

Still I keep wondering
Why all I can think about
  right there
  is love
Is it the charm
  of gilded innocence
  reaching towards me

Since I've lost it long ago
